About A.R.T.I 1
A.R.T.I 1 is the first of our A.R.T.I robots, one was initially built along the same lines of a friend’s robot in Hackspace Magazine. They called the robot the ‘Modular Tracked Vehicle’ or ‘MTV’, and they use it as a chassis to change and adapt different systems on the platform.
This robot developed into quite a learning experience for my children and so we decided to build her fully as an autonomously driven robot who would stay built and would turn out to be the beginning of the A.R.T.I robots. She has an LCD screen that allows us to modify her personality, she runs on very wide tracks and is moderately quick. A.R.T.I has white LED headlights that are bright enough to light up a room and she has a clear perspex sensor holder. She is a dependable little robot and quite robust.
Our A.R.T.I Robots are not kits. They all use different bought chassis, but they are then built from scratch, by us.
